HeHe's works trace influences of pop culture, the indie movement, graphic novels, 'lowbrow art,' and pop surrealism that affect the sense of becoming the Indonesian young generation of today. HeHe embraces the invisible with friendliness and fun, a kind of acceptance and openness to new possibilities and potentials, while also still being aware of life's ironies. He is very instinctive when it comes to making works. He does what he knows. It is evident from his works that he loves comics and made his own characters of monsters and imaginary 'friends' or anything that pops into his mind all based on memories of everything that he has seen. He moves on with his existence in the real world that can be the same on one side but also completely different than the other, in terms of absurdities and abnormalities.

Most of HeHe's works are presentations of society and social media, where he defined cyberspace and relationships of people in the virtual world. But instead of commenting on the new social structure, which is a combination of real-world interactions as well as virtual ones, HeHe presents the current status of society and social media as is and invites the viewers to make their own commentary. HeHe recognises and is heavily involved in social media. He imagines the virtual world as a vast space with no corners and embraces it together with his generation.

HeHe’s works elevate social media and propose that it counterweight the ongoing devaluation of human lives. Social media is still virtual and has a sense of ‘un-realness’ to it, but it provides endless space and opportunity to speak with another person without actually facing the person. HeHe does not attempt to prove that social media divorces human contact when, in fact, it is the opposite. People can be voyeurs through applications such as Instagram to show what the other person is seeing right at that moment. The fact that, rather than being separate ‘real’ and ‘virtual’ worlds, online and offline realms are integrated is exactly why people can attempt to break away from the constraints in their offline lives by hacking their connectivity through online interaction.
